Degree in Journalism at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. In 1982 she began her professional career in TVE where she had different jobs. In 1987 she wrote “The Cyclone Socialist” (chronicle on the first socialist legislature). In 1999 she began her career in Antena 3 Noticias, directed the national section and participated in the analysis programs “El Primer Café” and “La Respuesta”. In May 2012, she was appointed General Manager of Antena 3 Noticias, one of the divisions of the Atresmedia Company, achieving leading audience figures for the private network. Throughout these years she has interviewed all the presidents of the government and leaders of the opposition. On July 8, 2016, she left Antena 3.
Among various awards, she has received the “Business and Professional Excellence Award” awarded by the Business Women’s Circle in 2009, and in July 2016 she was awarded the “Committed Communication Award for Women” by FEDEPE. Among other acknowledgments, she has received the Order of Civil Merit “for the promotion of the Spain Brand throughout her career.” Gloria Lomana is part of the Jury of the “Princess of Asturias” Awards for International Cooperation and the “Forum of Leading Brands of Spain”. She has also been a member of the Jury of the King James I Awards, in the categories of Journalism and Entrepreneurs.
In connection with her commitment to leadership and empowerment of women, it is worth noting that she was a founding member of the Women for Africa Foundation and is a member of the select International Women’s Forum in Spain.
