11:00am After Silence: Violence against women and girls is one of the most prevalent human rights violations in the world. It has no social, economic, racial, age or national boundaries. Worldwide, an estimated one in three women will experience physical or sexual abuse in her lifetime.

2:15pm Batucada– Drum and percussion instruments performed by 17 members most of them women
2:30pm Unlocking Economic Empowerment: Investing in women’s economic empowerment sets direct path towards gender equality, poverty eradication and inclusive economic grow. It is about rights and equitable societies.

3:30pm Keynote Speaker: Jeison Aristizabal – CNN Hero of the Year 2016
3:45pm HeForShe: Gender equality is not a “women’s concern” but the responsibility of all individuals and of the society as whole, and requires the active contribution and input from both women and men.
